Click goes the camera… and his lens rolls out yet another aesthetic picture…
An IT geek by profession but a photographer by passion, Akhil’s unique style and finesse has lent a new curve to fashion photography in Eastern India. Hailing from a family of artists, Akhil inherited an eye for beauty from his grandmother, Lt. Chandrakala Devi, a national award winner for Madhubani paintings, and his cousin brother Sharad Kumar, who received the prestigious award for Paper Mache sculpture from former president Dr A. P. J Abdul Kalam.
Akhil’s journey with photography started with his childhood friend Kodak KB10. In 2013, his stint in clicking for magazines & tabloid started when he joined Mycitylinks.in (the first English tabloid of Odisha) as a freelance photojournalist. It had helped him to explore and understand varied aspects of people photography & human interest stories. And before he realized he had created a benchmark for himself in the temple city, Bhubaneswar.
His clicks have been featured in National & International platforms like The Telegraph, Forbes India, Times Of India, The Hindu, The Naptune Glitz, IVF India and many more. As a fashion photographer, apart from covering different fashion shows throughout the country, he has been doing different portfolios (Male, Female and Kids) for aspiring models, actors and professionals.
